David Michael

Chief Information Officer

As CIO for UBM TechWeb, David is responsible for defining strategies, overseeing and delivering significant technology initiatives while ensuring consistency of IT programs. His main focus is on identifying, evaluating and analyzing opportunities that advance UBM TechWeb's strategic IT business objectives. He also plays a significant role in our web development and events business.

David joined United Business Media (UBM) in 1994 as a Technical Director for Oxford Information Technology (OiT) in the UK, transferring to PR Newswire Europe in 1998 and in 2001 he came to the US and served as CIO and EVP of Global Operations for PR Newswire. He has been serving as UBM TechWeb's CIO since January 2009.

David holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of Warwick and lives in New York City.
