SVP, People & Culture

Beth is responsible for the oversight of all strategies and processes by which UBM TechWeb hires, retains, and rewards outstanding talent. During her 13 year tenure with UBM, TechWeb's parent company, Beth has held roles spanning all aspects of the human resources function, and cites the "potential for personal and professional growth one of the best reasons to work for UBM and its subsidiaries."

Beth made the decision to pursue a career in Human Resources in the midst of a summer internship during college with the American Lung Association. There she was given the opportunity to focus on recruitment which triggered her desire to work with people. This experience made Beth realize that attracting and retaining the right candidates was integral to the success of an organization. As an undergraduate at the State University of New York at Albany, she interned with the Albany State Department of Human Resources where she helped the unemployed seek employment opportunities. In addition, Beth helped launch the Department's first online recruitment program. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in Sociology and a minor in Business, Beth joined Miller Freeman (formerly a subsidiary of UBM) as a Human Resources Assistant immediately following graduation. The rest is history.

Since the inception of UBM TechWeb, Beth has been able to fulfill her passion for organizational development by implementing a reward based culture. She has created on-the-job learning opportunities and has partnered with external leadership and development experts to create enhanced learning experiences for TechWeb employees.

Beth is married with two children. Passionate about family and active in her community, Beth currently serves on her daughter's school PTA Board and is a Girl Scout leader for her daughter’s troop. Beth also has been able to utilize the on-site day care program at the TechWeb/UBM Manhasset facility for the past several years for both of her children.
