Internships
UBM TechWeb offers a broad spectrum of opportunities to expand practical experience and enhance college studies. Our internships are a unique opportunity for college students to gain first-hand knowledge and experience in business to business media by working in one of our US or international offices.
Internships are flexible and our managers will work with students to create a schedule that is mutually beneficial. Typically, however, our internships run for eight weeks over the summer months and are offered to junior, senior or graduate level students and are for school credit only, though some of our internship opportunities may also be paid. The rotational program immerses our interns into many aspects of our business:
- Marketing - how to engage and communicate with users and marketers and to apply event marketing to driving registrations
- Marketing Services - using social media to fulfill client programs
- Content/Editorial - using our content to engage readers
- Online Web – developing basic web building skills
- Sales - driving new leads using marketing content for sales opportunities
- Finance - measuring and understanding the profits and losses, costs and business cases
- Events - what goes into putting on a live event behind the scenes and how to integrate virtual events with live events
- Creative – understanding the creative aspects of B2B media
Our past interns have produced fantastic work –check out a little bit more about their experience here and here.
